Books Reading
The Trouble with Peace — Kindle by Joe Abercrombie — Finished
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The second book in The Age of Madness trilogy ramps up the political intrigue and consequences from the first book. Abercrombie continues to excel at morally gray characters and the collision between industrial progress and traditional power. Solid middle chapter that sets up what should be an explosive conclusion.
The Eye of the Bedlam Bride by Matt Dinniman — Reading
Book 6 of Dungeon Crawler Carl takes the series in a new direction with a card-collecting monster hunt. Carl and Princess must capture six deadly monsters to build a deck for the ultimate showdown. The stakes keep getting higher and the creativity continues to impress.
The Wisdom of Crowds — Kindle by Joe Abercrombie — Reading
The final book in The Age of Madness trilogy. Everything comes to a head as revolution, war, and personal vendettas collide. Abercrombie’s knack for subverting expectations and delivering brutal consequences is on full display.
Games Playing
PEAK — Co-op climbing game that’s been a blast to play with friends. You’re lost nature scouts trying to escape a mysterious island by scaling the mountain at its center. The slightest mistake can send you plummeting, and the teamwork required makes for some hilarious and tense moments. The daily rotating maps keep it fresh. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun co-op experience.
WoW Classic — Started the grind for Rank 14 on my warrior. It’s a brutal time commitment but the nostalgia and PvP action make it worth it. Grand Marshal, here I come.
Life Updates
Not much new this month on the family front - just the usual chaos with Solomon and Zeke. More updates to come in December.
